About SSP and the Role
Join SSP UK & Ireland, a leader in hospitality operating renowned brands such as Starbucks, M&S, Burger King, and BrewDog, serving thousands daily in major transportation hubs like airports and train stations. We are currently looking for enthusiastic Baristas to join our Starbucks team at Birmingham New Street Station.
Role Overview
As a Barista, you will embrace a fast-paced, dynamic environment where making great coffee and delivering exceptional customer service are key. The role involves preparing bespoke beverages, sharing your product knowledge with customers, and maintaining a clean, welcoming workspace.
Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically learn and prepare new coffee beverages and products.
- Engage customers by sharing detailed product information and customize drinks to their preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Ensure the workspace is tidy, hygienic, and inviting at all times.
Candidate Profile
- Energetic and enjoy working with people in a lively environment.
- Consistently demonstrate kindness, positivity, and bring good energy to each shift.
- Must be at least 18 years old to perform certain tasks and work specific shifts.
Working Hours & Pay
Hours of operation range from 5:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Flexible scheduling across weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and public holidays is essential. Part-time positions offering approximately 16 hours per week are available.
Compensation includes a base pay of £12.71 per hour with an additional £1.20 per hour for hours worked between midnight and 6:00 AM, raising the rate to £13.91 per hour.
