Job description

Overview

Berger Paints India Limited, ranked second largest in the Indian paint industry by consolidated sales, is seeking an Area Sales Manager for Project Sales to oversee growth in Panvel and nearby markets. The role focuses on increasing sales of construction chemical products through engaging with various stakeholders across multiple project segments.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Attain specified monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Drive sales initiatives across residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and government projects.
  • Identify and capture potential business prospects to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Expand market presence via strategic account management and customer acquisition.
  • Track upcoming construction projects from initial concept through to completion for sales opportunities.
  • Liaise with architects, consultants, structural engineers, PMCs, and developers to secure product specifications and convert them into confirmed orders by coordinating with contractors and procurement teams.
  • Oversee the entire project sales cycle from lead generation through to project closure.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with builders, developers, EPC contractors, government entities, industrial and institutional customers.
  • Conduct regular customer interactions, site visits, and technical discussions to ensure high customer engagement.
  • Support dealer and distributor networks, ensuring product availability and effective inventory management.
  • Collaborate with channel partners to boost secondary sales and facilitate project execution.
  • Work closely with technical service teams to provide product demonstrations, mock-ups, site trials, and application assistance.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate pricing, and finalize contracts adhering to company policies.
  • Analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, new product launches, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Deliver timely collections of receivables and maintain robust financial health.
  • Generate sales forecasts, sales pipeline reports, project tracking documents, and monthly business reviews; manage CRM data accurately.
