Job Responsibilities

• Develop construction-ready production drawings aligned with executed sales contracts and approved standard plans.
• Draft and modify floor plans, interior elevations, and site plans utilizing established standards and templates.
• Create and update as-built drawings, lot fits, and community-specific site plans.
• Incorporate redlines and revisions from Construction, Engineering, and Field teams accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain and standardize CAD blocks, libraries, and templates for uniformity of all drawings.
• Review drafts for thoroughness and compliance prior to official release.
• Assist Marketing and Operations by preparing documentation based on existing plan standards.
• Operate within defined workflows and deadlines to support a high-volume residential production environment.
• Focus purely on technical drafting and ensuring plan accuracy rather than architectural design or conceptual development.

Candidate Profile

• Prefer technical drafting tasks over creative design work.
• Value working from firm standards and templates.
• Enjoy collaboration with Construction and Field personnel.
• Take pride in producing precise, buildable, and neat drawings.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years practical experience with AutoCAD in residential construction or homebuilding.
• Strong skillset in interpreting redlines, construction documents, and builder standards.
• Knowledgeable about residential building codes, construction methods, and drawing conventions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and document control consistency.
• Adept at working efficiently in deadline-oriented, production-focused environments.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and comfortable with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Clear communicator who works effectively with cross-functional teams.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily sedentary role involving computer use and office equipment.
• Role requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, typing, repetitive movements, hearing, visual acuity, and occasional stair climbing.
• Occasional lifting/moving of items up to 30 pounds.
