About the role
Woolworths Group is looking for an Apprentice Baker in Grafton, New South Wales. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with an immediate start, offering a roster from Monday to Sunday, 3:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Role overview
This apprenticeship is designed to help you build a career in retail baking. Over a 3-year period, you will complete Certificate III in Retail Baking (Bread) while learning how to prepare and bake a range of breads using baking tools, equipment, and machinery. You will gain practical, on-the-job experience as well as formal training.
Key duties
- Welcome customers, acknowledge them, show genuine care, and thank them for shopping with Woolworths.
- Follow workplace policies and procedures to help keep yourself, your colleagues, and customers safe, including identifying and reporting hazards.
- Work alongside people from different backgrounds in a fast-changing industry while building real-world experience.
- Develop the skills needed to become a qualified Retail Baker.
- Complete the full 3-year apprenticeship through both workplace and off-the-job learning.
- Attend all TAFE classes and finish the required assessments.
- Apply your learning in day-to-day baking tasks on the job.
