About the Position

We are looking for a seasoned Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to deliver Break & Fix support for enterprise infrastructure systems. This freelance role on an on-call basis involves providing technical troubleshooting and repair for hardware and network issues, ensuring smooth operation and maintaining professional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver both onsite and remote Break & Fix support addressing networking and infrastructure incidents.
  • Deploy, set up, and oversee Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments including AOS, AHV, and Prism management.
  • Conduct system upgrades, apply patches, and manage lifecycle tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving hardware, software, virtualization platforms, and networks.
  • Diagnose network connectivity problems related to TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and other network technologies.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Respond efficiently to critical incidents and adhere to response time agreements.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation, incident logs, and accurate service records.
  • Interact professionally with users, stakeholders, and customers at all times.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering roles.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Nutanix ecosystem components such as AOS, AHV, and Prism.
