AI Design Leader

About the Role

Good Maven seeks an experienced product leader to spearhead AI Design within Fin, the leading AI customer service agent powered by proprietary in-house models. This role is based in Berlin, working onsite alongside teams in London and Dublin.

As the head of Design for the AI Group, you will oversee three senior AI Designers and collaborate closely with AI Engineers, Scientists, and R&D Product Designers. This position demands a unique blend of technical expertise, product leadership, and team management focused on shaping AI model behavior, response mechanisms, testing processes, and overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead design initiatives that integrate AI models and core Fin technology to deliver superior customer experiences. Your work will span product design, AI model behavior, evaluation protocols, and iterative improvements to ensure our AI agents perform optimally.

We expect strong AI proficiency to navigate and contribute to the AI layer, including model behavior nuances, evaluation and testing frameworks, and workflow development. You should be able to engage deeply with engineers and scientists, applying your knowledge to influence model performance and product capabilities.

Alongside technical abilities, you will demonstrate seasoned product leadership: understanding user needs, aligning business objectives, and leveraging technical feasibility to direct product outcomes. Experience leading teams, launching AI-driven products, or integrating AI beyond superficial features is highly valued.

Interview Process

The selection procedure is designed to be efficient and transparent, typically lasting no more than four weeks. Candidates will engage with AI Group members and leadership in Product and Design to fully explore the role, challenges, and culture fit.
