Position Overview
This role demands a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph. The position offers a salary range between $213,000 and $233,000 annually, complemented by an immediate company 401(k) contribution ranging from $53,000 to $58,000.
Job Mission
The successful candidate will participate in the modernization of an existing operational system by employing microservices-based architecture and state-of-the-art technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop microservices applications using Java Spring Boot in conjunction with AWS native services.
- Enhance AWS capabilities leveraging Python for services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2, and S3.
- Create RESTful services with Spring framework to enable complex data object filtering and selection.
- Apply continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies using Maven, GitLab, and GitOps.
- Contribute to Agile software development cycles responsibly delivering functional solutions.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders as software engineering is a collective effort.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field or combined equivalent experience and education.
- At least nine years of relevant industry experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of seven years of pertinent work history.
Preferred Skills (Candidates should possess at least two)
- Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, or Python development.
- Experience with JSON Schema design and implementation.
- Working knowledge of microservice-based architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD technologies such as AWS services, Maven, GitLab, GitOps, Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible.
- Database skills involving NoSQL databases like MongoDB and DynamoDB, including query and schema design.
- Experience implementing OAuth or OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication protocols.
- Competency with testing frameworks and automation tools including Cypress and Cucumber.
