Accounts Assistant Head

About the Role and Company

Our client is a chit fund company located in Kodambakkam, Chennai, seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant Head. This role requires managing various facets of the company's financial operations within an office environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting tasks related to the chit fund business.
• Manage GST filing, TDS submissions, and ensure adherence to statutory compliance requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive company accounts and financial documentation.
• Conduct banking activities including regular visits and transactions with banks.
• Produce precise and prompt accounting entries along with financial reports.
• Collaborate with and provide support to the broader Accounts Department operations.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in accounting; up to 10 years preferred.
• Educational qualification of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com).
• Experience working in a chit fund company is advantageous.
• Sound understanding of GST regulations, TDS procedures, and general company accounting.
• Attributes of diligence, responsibility, and efficiency in managing accounting tasks are essential.

Additional Details

• Job Location: Kodambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
• Work Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Employment Type: In-office position
• Salary Range: ₹360,000 to ₹400,000 annually (equivalent to ₹30,000 to ₹33,000 per month)
