Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the Yardperson will be primarily responsible for loading and unloading equipment, maintaining cleanliness and serviceability of assets, performing inspections upon return, refueling, and conducting minor repairs promptly. The role also includes stock control assistance, building relationships with contractors, and general yard upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload equipment safely and efficiently
- Keep equipment clean and well-maintained
- Perform inspections on returned equipment to ensure condition
- Refuel assets and carry out basic maintenance or minor repairs without delay
- Support effective inventory and asset stock management
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with contractors
- Conduct general housekeeping and yard maintenance tasks
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Valid forklift licence
- Elevating Work Platform (EWP) licence is highly desirable
- Current driver's licence
- Experience handling loading and unloading of equipment
- Capable of working independently with strong self-motivation
- Positive attitude with a focus on safety at all times
