Job description

Role Overview

The Water Treatment System Technician plays a key role in managing the installation, maintenance, and quality oversight of water treatment systems across franchise locations. This position requires ensuring operational excellence by implementing strict quality control protocols and training local operators to uphold company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promptly and thoroughly address technical service requests from franchise operators.
  • Carry out system installations, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of water treatment equipment and facilities.
  • Execute and uphold operational procedures and quality assurance processes while training local staff on these methods.
  • Conduct frequent franchise visits and quality audits to ensure compliance with corporate quality benchmarks and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist the corporate laboratory with sample collection, root cause investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of quality audits and generate regular analytical reports on franchise quality performance.
  • Oversee the enforcement of the company’s Quality Breach Policy through monitoring and remediation of non-conformities.
  • Maintain and propose updates to documentation covering quality control protocols and standards.
  • Meet monthly targets and utilize established KPIs to evaluate and report operational performance.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs across all Ghanaian franchises, ensuring their consistent implementation.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in water engineering, water production, or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 to 3 years proven experience in supervising and leading small teams.
  • Prior involvement with quality assurance activities.

Preferred Background

  • Four or more years in relevant water sector roles.
  • Experience liaising with regulatory authorities such as the FDA or EPA.

Skill Set

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a keen ability to identify quality issues and opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Firm and authoritative communication skills to effectively direct and influence others.
  • Independent and critical thinker with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Creatively oriented with an optimistic mindset focused on continuous process improvement.
