Job Overview
The Vice President of Specialized Solutions spearheads high-impact sales opportunities focused on supply chain and integrated services. This role involves originating and advancing critical business engagements with national-level customers, crafting tailored solutions, and leading negotiations to secure profitable deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and progress major customer opportunities within targeted markets.
- Lead complex supply chain sales initiatives spanning multiple sites from initial discovery through closure.
- Develop and position customized, integrated offerings that address client business challenges across the full service portfolio.
- Shape approaches to solutions, commercial frameworks, and deal strategies for unique or non-standard engagements.
- Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with customers, consultants, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate closely with Pricing and Finance teams to create economic models, pricing strategies, and value propositions aligned with growth targets and margin objectives.
- Prepare and present executive-level proposals, pricing plans, and customer presentations.
- Manage complex negotiation processes and unify internal stakeholders to ensure timely, profitable deal closure.
- Maintain accurate opportunity pipeline data, forecasts, and documentation in CRM and sales platforms.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to identify avenues for growth.
- Represent the company at key industry events and forums as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, supply chain, transportation, sales, marketing, or communications.
- At least 8 years of sales or commercial experience within supply chain or services sectors.
- Proven track record of closing complex, customized deals with large enterprise clients, including those valued at $1 billion or more.
- Strong ability to build and maintain senior-level client and consultant relationships.
- Excellent financial and commercial skills, particularly in pricing and solution evaluation.
- High proficiency in written, verbal, and presentation communication.
- Skilled with Microsoft Office suite and sales enablement tools.
- Capacity to manage multiple complex sales initiatives at once.
- Experience in full outsourcing and managed solutions preferred, with ability to align customer needs and internal capabilities to deliver scalable results.
- Effective cross-functional collaborator, able to unite diverse stakeholders to achieve business goals.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to half the time to support client interactions and business development.
Compensation
Estimated base salary of $170,000 annually, plus eligibility for bonus, commission, and equity programs. Actual compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, market, location, and other factors.
