Trainee Lifeguard

About the Role

Join our team as a trainee lifeguard and help ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests at Splash Waterworld, covering pools, rapids, and flumes. This position requires meticulous attention to guest safety alongside delivering outstanding customer service. You'll also lead and organize poolside activities to enhance the guest experience.

If you already hold a lifeguard qualification, that's advantageous; if not, we will provide full training through the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).

This full-time position involves approximately 35 hours per week with diverse shifts available. Availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays is especially important. During major weekender breaks, you might assist the Bars department, offering a chance to acquire new skills and make new connections. Candidates must be 18 years or older.

Our facility operates every day of the week, so dependable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility are crucial as you will be a key team member. Accommodation may be offered for those relocating and over 18 years old.

About You

We seek enthusiastic individuals who naturally connect with people of all ages. Strong swimming ability and excellent observation skills are essential to manage pool safety during busy periods. Previous lifeguard certification is welcomed but not mandatory, as we will support your NPLQ training fully funded.

You will collaborate with a supportive team but will also be responsible for supervising certain areas alone at times.
