About the Role
Chevron Traffic Management, part of Ramudden Global UK, is seeking both qualified and trainee Traffic Management Operatives for their Braintree location in Essex. This full-time, onsite position offers guaranteed 48 hours per week, plus opportunities for overtime. Candidates must be willing to work flexible shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and be available for on-call duties, particularly if they have access to a company van.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and dismantle temporary traffic management setups such as cones, signs, barriers, and safety equipment.
- Ensure the safety of road workers and the general public throughout operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and control centers.
- Mentor and support trainee operatives to develop their skills and knowledge.
Role Requirements
- Essential knowledge of Chapter 8 traffic management regulations.
- Possession of a valid full driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points; any driving bans must have been completed at least five years prior.
- Successful completion of mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
- Positive attitude with a flexible and adaptable approach to work, including the ability to work weekends, nights, and travel as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in a physically demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of M1/M2 Lantra qualifications or higher (M3 to M6 and SLG Unit 2 qualifications considered).
- Willingness to sign a training agreement for traffic management training where applicable.
