Role Overview
We are seeking a Tooling Administrator to manage the complete procurement lifecycle of tooling, spares, and consumables ensuring seamless support to production timelines. The role involves liaising with suppliers for the best value quotations, tracking deliveries, handling logistics, and maintaining meticulous inventory and purchasing records.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire procurement process related to tooling and consumables to meet production demands promptly.
- Evaluate supplier quotations by balancing cost effectiveness, quality standards, and timely delivery.
- Monitor purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to avoid production delays.
- Organise collection, transportation, and distribution of tooling and machine components.
- Receive and inspect incoming tooling ensuring accurate inventory and purchasing data maintenance.
- Conduct tooling usage monitoring, perform regular stocktakes, and assist in inventory management to prevent stock shortages and optimize inventory levels.
Required Experience and Skills
- Background in manufacturing, maintenance, or production support environments.
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities to juggle numerous tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; familiarity with BPCS is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Proven ability to maintain precise records and oversee inventory controls.
Security Requirements
This role requires a Defence security clearance; applicants must be Australian citizens eligible to obtain and uphold security clearance standards. Additional clearance-related details are accessible through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency. The Australian Defence Trade Controls Act applies, and nationality plays a role in clearance eligibility.
