Position Overview

The Tool Crib Attendant, reporting to the Fleet, Tool and Equipment Manager, will oversee preparation and staging of orders, loading and unloading trucks, fulfilling tool and equipment requisitions for shops and job sites, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safety and environmental policies are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage orders for scheduled deliveries.
• Operate forklifts to load and unload company and external trucks safely.
• Fulfill tool and equipment orders including handling materials and lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
• Document, inspect, and return tools and equipment into inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and a clean workspace.
• Adhere to safety protocols as per company policies, ISO 18001, OHSA regulations, and environmental standards (ISO 14001).

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Familiarity with construction trades, tools, and equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience operating forklifts safely.
• WHMIS and safety training certification.
• Proficiency in computer-based data entry and information retrieval.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience in construction environments is advantageous.

Physical Requirements

The role involves lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging between $45,000 and $50,000 CAD.
