Tier 1 SOC Analyst

Job Overview

As a Tier 1 SOC Analyst, you will be the frontline responder within a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC), responsible for initial investigation and triaging of security incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary responder for security event triage and investigations.
• Monitor security alerts and events across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments using SIEM and ticketing platforms.
• Perform initial incident analysis and triage based on defined playbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Escalate incidents appropriately to higher-level analysts or SOC management following escalation protocols.
• Assist in threat mitigation and eradication efforts under guidance from senior analysts.
• Maintain thorough documentation of incident investigations, actions taken, and outcomes.
• Contribute to the creation and enhancement of SOC procedures and knowledge base resources.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering and Operations teams to enhance detection and response capabilities.
• Handle sensitive security information in line with organizational policies.
• Carry out additional tasks to support SOC operations as assigned.

Qualifications

This role requires familiarity with security monitoring tools such as SIEM, ability to conduct initial threat analysis, and strong collaboration skills within a team. Handling sensitive data responsibly and following established investigation policies are critical components.
