Our CTCT division, a partnership between Trimble and Caterpillar, focuses on developing positioning, control, and automation technologies for earthmoving and paving machinery used in construction and mining. These products help operators achieve precise horizontal and vertical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct API, integration, and system testing of products throughout the development cycle.
- Translate high-level marketing requirements into detailed, user-centered specifications appropriate for development.
- Compose detailed defect reports including diagnostic data to facilitate efficient issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain test and regression plans for new or replacement product features.
- Create and update manual functional and non-functional test cases to ensure comprehensive evaluation.
- Design, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to streamline testing efforts and reduce manual workload.
- Continuously enhance testing procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and replicating customer-reported issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Actively participate in hazard reporting and incident documentation processes.
- Contribute to fostering a positive health and safety culture within the team environment.
- Maintain a clean, safe workplace, adhering to Safe Work Procedures at all times.
- Properly use and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Comply with CTCT Health and Safety policies or those of other entities when working off-site.
- Complete any required training to ensure safe operation of equipment.

Qualifications and Experience
- At least five years of relevant experience in software testing, quality assurance, or software engineering roles.
- ISTQB certification (Foundation, Advanced, or Agile Tester) or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Knowledge of C++, web technologies, or Android coding is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience with automated testing tools, frameworks, and script writing is beneficial.
Additional Information
This position requires working onsite in Christchurch, New Zealand, five days per week.
