Role Overview
This is an on-site walk-in opportunity in Chennai for a Technology Support Specialist focused on mainframe systems. The role suits candidates with experience in supporting and developing mainframe-based applications, especially in COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and VSAM environments.
The position involves individual contribution work with responsibility for analysis, coding, testing, implementation, and support of changes in mainframe applications. The role expects solid technical understanding, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and close collaboration with developers and support teams.

Eligibility and Experience
Applicants should be graduates with 2 to 3 years of experience in mainframe application development or support. Immediate joiners are preferred, with a notice period of 0 to 15 days only.
Responsibilities
- Develop and unit test solutions that satisfy the stated requirement and acceptance criteria while meeting compliance expectations.
- Own the design and delivery of assigned features.
- Follow enterprise standards for design, coding quality, and solution integrity.
- Prepare and share documentation needed for deployment, maintenance, support, and business use.
- Analyze, program, and implement enhancements across diverse mainframe applications.
- Perform unit testing and integration testing for all changes.
- Coordinate with other programmers and work with limited supervision.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working on mainframe-based applications in development or support.
- Hands-on programming knowledge in COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and online/batch processing.
- Exposure to DB2 stored procedures will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work with tools such as NDM/FTP, OPC/TWS, File Manager, SPUFI, QMF, IDz, and Endevor.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with developers, support teams, and management.
- Self-driven attitude, flexibility, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with BMC Remedy or other IT service management tools is preferred.
- Understanding of Agile methodology will be beneficial.
Assessment and Registration Process
To attend the interview, candidates must complete both the registration and the SHL assessment. The Candidate ID and SHL Test AMCAT ID are mandatory, and applicants without them will not be allowed into the interview process.
After registering online, a Candidate ID starting with 100 will be generated and sent to the registered email address. The SHL assessment is proctored and evaluates basic analytics, English comprehension, and email writing. Candidates must attempt all questions, work from a quiet environment, and use a headset or Bluetooth headphones for clear communication. A passing score is required for the next stage.

- Candidate ID, AMCAT ID, and the registered email ID details.
- PAN card or passport for identity verification.
- Original government ID for security clearance.
- Personal headphone or Bluetooth headset for the interview.
Additional Instructions
