Technology Consultant – DevOps (Azure & GCP) - Qatar Onsite

Role Overview

We are seeking a Technology Consultant specialized in DevOps with expertise in Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), for a one-year onsite contract in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience delivering DevOps frameworks and support throughout the software lifecycle, including build, deployment, testing, transition, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management, delivery, testing, and operations teams to establish and maintain DevOps frameworks.
• Design and implement DevOps strategies that include Agile work management, secure DevSecOps processes, and quality assurance approaches.
• Implement automation and configuration management solutions across on-premises and cloud environments such as Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Develop continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines managing code quality, security policies, version control, build infrastructure, releases, and deployment patterns.
• Manage application configuration and secrets with vaulting technologies.
• Administer container orchestration and builds using Kubernetes and Helm charts.
• Design infrastructure strategies including infrastructure as code (IaC), compliance, and security management.
• Establish continuous feedback mechanisms to optimize system performance and development cycles.
• Automate processes through scripting and creation of golden image builds to streamline deployments and integrations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to recommend new tools and practices.
• Work closely with testing teams to ensure resolution of issues before production release.
• Maintain thorough documentation adhering to standards and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or Oracle OCI DevOps Professional preferred.
• Additional certifications like Ansible/AKS or ITIL Foundation are advantageous.
• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience with hyperscalers (Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Proficient with Agile methodologies, test planning, and software lifecycle management.
• Hands-on knowledge in build design, automation, provisioning cloud infrastructure, and standardized OS images.
• Experience configuring tools such as SonarQube, OWASP, Artifacts, NPM, Maven, and NuGet for code quality and security.
• Skilled in deploying containerized applications using Kubernetes with Helm charts.
• Proficient with Linux, Windows, and open-source software technologies.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools like Terraform, PowerShell, Bash scripting, Ansible, Chef, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Knowledge of database infrastructure deployment for SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and .NET in Agile and SCRUM environments.
