About the Role

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical knowledge to oversee intricate, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements, assess risks, manage project timelines, and maintain transparent communication with cross-functional teams throughout the organization. Your role involves balancing interactions across multiple levels, from articulating analyses and strategic recommendations to executives, to engaging in detailed technical discussions with engineering teams.

Your responsibilities include leading product launches, driving productivity improvements, ensuring adherence to quality standards, resolving issues, identifying patterns and gaps, implementing system enhancements, and managing change across multiple teams and partners to successfully deliver products.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
• Have a minimum of five years’ experience in program management.
• Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing diverse programs.
• Skilled in stakeholder management at various organizational levels.

Preferred Skills

• Background in working alongside internal product and engineering teams, large customer groups, and managing multifaceted programs, including the deployment of new technologies and solutions.
• Capability to navigate ambiguous situations, weigh a wide range of internal and external factors to accurately identify problems, propose effective solutions, and make informed decisions.
• Strong relationship-building abilities with the capacity to influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional problem-solving aptitude and critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and communicate detailed tactical plans and strategic approaches for various projects, overseeing multiple programs and collaborating with engineers to drive timely delivery.
• Establish yourself as a trusted consultant for decision-makers by offering insights to engineering teams and shaping product direction to foster innovation.
• Design, develop, and refine metrics accompanied by reliable data sets to enhance transparency into engineering solutions.
• Conduct quantitative analyses by interpreting technical data from both structured and unstructured sources.

Compensation and Benefits

Individual remuneration depends on factors such as job expertise, professional experience, and applicable education or training. For roles based in Ireland, the annual salary ranges from €118,000 to €121,000, complemented by a 15% bonus target, equity options, and additional benefits.
