At Broughton House, a specialized 29-bed residential care facility for adults with severe learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors, we focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment that fosters independence and community engagement.

Job Role and Duties

Deliver comprehensive and tailored care using a flexible learning approach for all residents.
Provide physical and emotional support to encourage and guide individuals.
Understand and respond effectively to the unique needs of each person in care.
Assist with medical and welfare requirements, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
Maintain safeguarding protocols to protect residents.
Ensure the care environment is safe, clean, and conducive to wellbeing.

Working Hours and Conditions

This full-time role involves working 42 hours per week in 12-hour shifts on a two-week rotating schedule: Week 1 includes Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:45 AM to 7:45 PM; Week 2 covers Wednesday and Thursday with the same hours. Due to the facility's remote location and limited public transport options, having a valid driver's license and own transport is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting wage at 13.15 per hour, increasing to 13.45 after three months.
