Superflex Roadside Patrol Mechanic - Leicester

About the Role

Join RAC as a Superflex Roadside Mechanic, providing essential flexible support to our roadside services. This position rewards adaptability, offering a competitive basic salary starting at £50,669, with potential earnings up to £57,000 through bonuses and overtime. You will work an average of 40 hours weekly throughout the year, with your schedule shared seven days ahead and core hours confirmed three days prior. Shifts are varied and may take place between 6:00 AM and 2:00 AM, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Your base will be in the Leicester region, covering surrounding areas such as Oadby, Wigston, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough, and Loughborough. You will start and finish your day at home, focusing on assisting customers locally to get them back on the road efficiently.

Key Responsibilities and Working Environment

• Deliver roadside repairs and diagnostics effectively.
• Manage your own equipment, maintain stock in your RAC-provided van, and complete accurate reporting.
• Provide exceptional customer service as a representative of RAC in dynamic roadside situations.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification with 2+ years relevant experience, or
• Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points.
