Position Overview
The Specialist - Talent Acquisition (Technology) role at Wesco focuses on identifying and recruiting candidates for technology-related positions using various channels such as recruitment websites, employee referrals, and on-site recruiting, with a strong emphasis on attracting passive candidates. This role acts as a liaison between candidates and the company, coordinating interview schedules, evaluating applicants' work histories and qualifications, extending offers, managing pre-boarding, and collaborating with hiring managers to prepare interview questions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply sourcing strategies tailored to specific job openings.
- Engage regularly with hiring managers to understand business needs, provide insights on labor market conditions, and align hiring expectations.
- Ensure candidates meet all criteria tracked within the applicant tracking system.
- Proactively source, conduct interviews, and present well-qualified and pre-screened candidates to hiring managers.
- Manage candidate disposition appropriately throughout the recruitment process.
- Adhere strictly to all defined hiring procedures.
- Champion recruitment of a diverse workforce by presenting a varied group of candidates.
- Maintain Wesco's reputation as an employer of choice personally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- Minimum two years of experience in technology recruitment and staffing.
- At least two years of proficiency in using applicant tracking systems.
- One year of experience leveraging social media platforms for recruiting purposes.
- Good understanding of recruitment policies, practices, and employment law.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Capable of performing daily tasks independently.
- Willingness and ability to learn new software applications.
- Flexibility and adaptability in work situations.
- Analytical skills to examine data, establish facts, and form sound conclusions.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in a similar industry.
- Competency in conducting behavioral interviews to evaluate candidate suitability.
