This squad plays a vital role in ASB's digital banking, focusing on making money movement simple, secure, and intuitive. The team maintains and improves payments and transfer processes across digital channels, ensuring customers manage funds with ease anytime, anywhere. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve customer-facing web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Engage in backend development and integrations, primarily using .NET technologies.
• Create accessible, secure, and responsive digital experiences for users.
• Work closely with product owners and designers to translate needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Promote software quality through rigorous testing, code evaluation, and adherence to best development practices.
• Provide mentorship, technical leadership, and support within the engineering squad.
• Contribute to architectural planning, design choices, and continuous process improvements.
• Ensure delivery of high-performing and reliable digital banking capabilities.

Candidate Profile

Required Experience and Skills

• Strong background developing modern, customer-facing web applications using React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and SCSS.
• Expertise in building responsive, accessible, and performant web apps with a solid understanding of front-end architectures and UX principles.
• Proficient full-stack development skills including REST API creation and consumption, with experience in .NET-based backend services.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and principles such as object-oriented and functional programming to deliver maintainable and scalable solutions.
• Experience applying security-focused software development practices and maintaining quality through automated and unit testing.
• Familiarity with modern development tools and workflows including NPM, Webpack, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Optional experience with Azure cloud, end-to-end testing frameworks, test-driven development, and cloud-native technologies is advantageous.
• Proven ability to provide technical mentorship and collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, product owners, and stakeholders.

Desirable

• Experience with ASP.NET and MVC frameworks.
• Previous work on large-scale, consumer-facing digital platforms.
• Background contributing to both front-end and back-end codebases.
