Job Overview

As a Software Engineer new graduate at Notion, you will be instrumental in shaping fundamental user experiences and helping users discover the value in Notion's products. You will independently handle meaningful technical challenges, take ownership of important projects, and collaborate with talented team members in design, product, and data to evolve how people work.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to conceive, plan, develop, and maintain new product features. Tasks may include enhancing user activation flows and onboarding experiences to drive product adoption.
• Contribute to improving system performance, reliability, and usability; examples include updating the spell checker for cross-browser synchronization and optimizing search to index file attachments effectively.
• Develop internal tools that support team productivity and simplicity, such as automating the import of user feedback into Notion.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related disciplines, with the ability to start full-time before July 27, 2026.
• Prior internship experience in relevant fields.
• Demonstrated proficiency or growing expertise in programming languages like TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.

• Up-to-date familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex and Claude Code, with pragmatic tool selection for delivering user value.

Notion offers competitive monetary compensation, equity, and benefits that depend on factors such as location, role complexity, and candidate expertise. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated annual salary range is $126000 to $146000.
