About the Role
Join Papa John's as a Shift Leader where your distinctive qualities enrich our team and strengthen our competitive edge. This key role involves overseeing restaurant shifts and operations at our Walton, England location to guarantee exceptional product quality and outstanding customer service, directly impacting our restaurant’s profitability. You will also ensure full compliance with company policies and all relevant laws and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned workstations, ensuring adherence to guidelines for dough handling, portion accuracy, and product preparation while maintaining quality and timing standards.
- Strive consistently to meet company product goals and customer expectations, handling issues proactively to reduce complaints, and comply with all employee handbook policies including dress code, attendance, safety, and security.
- Demonstrate and embody the company’s core values by fostering a positive work environment, showing adaptability, and collaborating effectively with team members.
- Guarantee appropriate shift staffing levels, provide immediate corrective feedback, maintain product quality, customer service, and operational standards including cleanliness and cost controls.
- Support profitability goals through effective use of the FOCUS system, cash handling procedures, and inventory management to minimize losses.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Food service certification (Serv-Safe or local/state equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior experience leading shifts in a restaurant environment is preferred.
- Demonstrate a stable and successful work history.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Able to commit to long shifts (generally over 32 hours per week), including nights, weekends, and emergency coverages.
- Competent in performing all restaurant roles effectively.
