About the Role
We are seeking a committed and energetic Service Manager to lead and contribute to our youth mental health services at our Meath location. This permanent, full-time leadership role focuses on ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and impactful programmes and services for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Clinical Manager to develop and implement strategic plans for clinical services, youth engagement, and mental health promotion aligned with local and national goals.
- Co-lead the service team, supporting a compassionate and cohesive working culture through joint decision-making and leadership.
- Oversee daily operations including local budget management, efficient referral processing, scheduling of appointments, data analytics, and evaluating service performance while maintaining compliance with risk management policies.
- Engage with external stakeholders to promote the service, improve referral pathways, and enhance integration with other services.
- Manage initiatives such as the Youth Advocate Programme and community mental health awareness activities in partnership with youth and community workers.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum three years of management experience in health, social care, education, or non-profit sectors.
- Possess a third-level qualification (bachelor's degree or equivalent) related to business, health (mental health preferred), community development, education, or social sciences; equivalent management experience may suffice.
- Proven experience overseeing teams in a human service context.
- Experience managing small local budgets and implementing financial controls and operational strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and a collaborative leadership style.
- Valid clean driving license and availability for occasional evening or weekend duties.
