Role Overview
As a Service and Repair Technician II based in Gul Circle, Singapore, you will be entrusted with inspecting aero engine hardware and ensuring quality standards on various APU models. Your work will support aircraft propulsion and power systems critical for both commercial and defense aviation sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of aero engine hardware following approved manuals and repair instructions for different APU models.
- Determine the serviceability of inspected components by categorizing defects and specifying required repairs.
- Interpret technical manuals, engineering dispositions, repair procedures, and customer expectations to inform inspection actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and quality, aligned with site targets.
- Provide support to Engineers and Planners by reviewing parts and repair capabilities within and beyond the cell.
- Manage calibration of inspection tools, gauges, and equipment as part of total productive maintenance (TPM).
- Maintain workplace organization through 5S and housekeeping methods and assist with additional cell-related tasks.
- Offer cross-departmental support and training as needed; flexibility to work shifts or varied schedules based on operational demands.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of at least an NTC Aerospace Technology or Engineering certificate.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of inspection experience in the aerospace sector.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and repair documents.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform independently after training.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with SAP preferred.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Willingness to work overtime with appropriate compensation.
