Overview
Join PwC New Zealand in Hamilton as a Senior Manager or Director within the Private team, leading a varied client portfolio and contributing to the practice's growth. This role involves delivering trusted, commercially sound advice across privately owned businesses while fostering a thriving team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio covering accounting, tax compliance, and advisory services, ensuring practical and commercially effective results.
- Serve as a trusted adviser to senior clients, handling business, financial, accounting, and tax-related matters.
- Lead complex projects involving statutory reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and business improvement efforts.
- Contribute actively to practice growth by enhancing client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and driving commercial success.
- Mentor and develop team members to cultivate a collaborative, high-performing culture within the practice.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in accounting, tax, and advisory roles, preferably within a professional services environment or similarly complex commercial context.
- Strong technical expertise in financial statements, income and indirect tax compliance, providing high-quality, actionable advice.
- Proven leadership in client engagement management and building senior-level trusted relationships, with sound business and commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated capabilities in coaching, mentoring, and developing staff across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, combined with a proactive mindset toward innovation, technology, and new methodologies.
