Role Overview

The company seeks a Senior Full-Stack Engineer based onsite in Santa Monica. Working closely with the CTO and founding engineer, this role requires full ownership of substantial product modules, delivering features that impact live financial processes, and defining the engineering standards foundational for future expansion.

This is a senior individual contributor position, involving full stack development with autonomy. Responsibilities include carrying features from design to deployment and contributing to architectural and quality decisions shaping the platform. The role involves building software that handles actual municipal funds.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy full-stack features using React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Manage significant product segments independently, from design through iteration.
• Create and sustain secure, reliable data pipelines interfacing with banks, pooled funds, and ERP systems.
• Collaborate with pilot customers to refine user experience and close workflow gaps.
• Help define and uphold engineering best practices, coding standards, and architecture patterns.
• Support infrastructure, security, logging, and SOC 2 compliance foundations alongside the engineering team.

Candidate Profile

• 4 to 7 years of experience delivering production software with strong full-stack expertise.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies: React and TypeScript; backend technologies: Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and modular component architectures.
• Proven ability to independently own features with a focus on reliability.
• Effective working in person within small, agile teams featuring rapid feedback.
• Strong motivation to build impactful software for municipal financial operations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and secure data management.
• Familiarity with large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-powered workflows.
• Background in fintech or banking integrations.
• Knowledge of secure data ingestion pipelines, ETL processes, and compliance-driven products.
