Senior Estimator

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator with over 10 years of specialized expertise in building construction within the UAE market. This position involves working within a multidisciplinary consulting firm, partnering closely with architects, engineers, and project management to oversee cost-related activities from the conceptual stage through contract finalization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates including feasibility studies and budget evaluations from initial concept to detailed design phases in alignment with internal design and engineering teams.
• Conduct precise digital quantity surveying and compile Bills of Quantities (BoQs) using POMI and NRM standards applicable to commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.
• Manage tender processes by compiling comprehensive tender packages (including ITT and BoQs), assessing contractor bids, negotiating commercially, and presenting thorough Tender Evaluation Reports to clients.
• Lead value engineering sessions to propose cost-effective design alternatives that do not compromise client budgets, integrating knowledge of the UAE market pricing trends.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years experience in pre-contract estimating within UAE building construction, preferably within multidisciplinary consultancy or major contractor environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or equivalent; holding MRICS accreditation is highly desirable.
• Skilled in industry software such as CostX, Candy (RIB CCS), or CUBIT, with comprehensive knowledge of POMI, NRM, and FIDIC standards and practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in UAE supply chain dynamics and effective collaboration across design, engineering, and project management stakeholders.
