Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our Audit team in Hamilton, Waikato. Candidates should bring at least three years' hands-on experience delivering audit and assurance services within a Chartered Accounting setting, ideally possessing a professional qualification such as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.
This role offers the chance to work with a broad array of corporate, private, and public sector clients across New Zealand, including some of the region's largest and most successful companies. You will have exposure to diverse industries and opportunities to contribute to national-level projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Present audit findings and propose solutions or improvements.
- Review and evaluate audit reports, written advice, memoranda, and other formal deliverables.
- Apply analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills to offer recommendations that support client business strategies.
- Understand and address complex audit, risk advisory, and stakeholder requirements.
- Build strong relationships and communicate effectively to positively influence clients, teams, and individuals.
- Deliver high-quality client service while fostering cross-border and cross-business collaboration.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Minimum 3 years audit experience within a corporate Chartered Accounting environment.
- Proficiency with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and New Zealand/International accounting standards.
- Strong analytical and numerical aptitude complemented by solid Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent project management capabilities.
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Well-developed research and problem-solving skills.
