Job Overview

The Senior Accountant role focuses on managing daily accounting operations, ensuring precise financial reporting, and contributing to the organization's fiscal stability. Responsibilities span preparing financial statements, account reconciliations, and adherence to accounting standards and company regulations.

Responsibilities

• Compile and review financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Oversee the general ledger ensuring the fidelity of financial data
• Conduct account reconciliations and address any discrepancies found
• Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal policies
• Assist with internal and external audits by supplying necessary documentation
• Analyze financial information and deliver actionable insights to management
• Develop and optimize accounting systems and procedures
• Guide and supervise junior members of the accounting team

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Certification such as CPA, ACCA, or their equivalent preferred
• 4 to 7 or more years of relevant experience in accounting or public accounting
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation
• Proficiency with accounting software like SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude
• Meticulous attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
• Capability to handle multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines
