SB Attendant (Class 1)

Job Overview

ENGIE Southeast Asia is seeking a responsible SB Attendant holding Class 1 certification to manage and monitor boiler and related utility systems operations at our Singapore facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily logs for all boiler operations and other unit system functions including analyzers.
• Issue Permits to Work (PTW) for all on-site activities safely and efficiently.
• Participate as an active member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) on-site.
• Operate the Building Management System (BMS) to control, monitor, and troubleshoot utilities equipment; serve as first communication contact with Pfizer control room.
• Adhere strictly to all site safety protocols and procedures.
• Conduct in-process sampling and testing as required.
• Carry out straightforward maintenance tasks complying with safety standards, including preparing equipment for lock out tag out (LOTO) and undertaking filter replacements.
• Contribute to developing daily standard operating procedures and conduct routine maintenance to uphold high safety and operational standards.
• Report incidents such as accidents, injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions, or behaviors to supervisors promptly for corrective action implementation.
• Engage in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations to ensure thorough examination of incidents and recommend corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Manage waste disposal operations, including chemical and general waste, and support waste minimization initiatives.
• Ensure timely identification and repair of utility and facility issues to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Oversee service quality delivered by contractors on-site.
• Be familiar with emergency procedures for safe operation and shutdown using BMS during annual maintenance shutdowns.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the site manager.

Qualifications and Skills

• Mandatory registration as Class 1 or Class 2 Boiler Attendant under Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
• Understanding of FMEA, HAZOP, and Job Hazard Analysis methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills with capability in team management and decision making.
• Demonstrated innovation, analytical thinking, and adept problem-solving abilities.
• First-Aider certification is desirable.
