Role Overview

The Safety Supervisor position, stationed full-time onsite in Vishakhapatnam, entails overseeing the enforcement of safety protocols at construction locations. Key duties involve performing frequent site examinations, spotting potential hazards, and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role also requires organizing and conducting safety training sessions, keeping comprehensive safety records, and probing into incidents or near misses to suggest corrective measures. Daily tasks include collaborating with project managers and teams on-site, advocating safe working methods, and fostering continual improvements in safety processes and culture.

Qualifications and Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety and Occupational Health principles relevant to construction settings.
• Practical expertise in Safety Engineering for hazard assessment and application of safety controls.
• Experience delivering safety training, including toolbox talks and formal instructional sessions.
• Competence in accident investigation encompassing incident documentation, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.
• Possession of a relevant diploma or degree in safety, engineering, or related disciplines, alongside recognized safety certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH is preferred.
• Verified background in supervising safety on construction sites, with deep knowledge of local safety laws and standards.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal abilities enabling influence on safe practices at all organizational levels.
• Capability to operate on-site in Vishakhapatnam, conduct thorough field inspections, and promptly address safety issues.
