Role Summary
The Safety Officer position is a permanent full-time role located on-site in Patna. Responsibilities include maintaining and enforcing safety standards across construction sites by performing routine safety inspections, conducting risk evaluations, and auditing compliance with company policies and regulatory frameworks. The officer will create, maintain, and update safety protocols, guidelines, and emergency procedures. Daily duties involve leading safety training sessions and toolbox talks, overseeing the proper use of personal protective equipment, and keeping records of safety incidents and near misses. Coordination with project managers, supervisors, and on-site teams to foster a culture of safety and continually enhance health and security measures is essential.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health with the ability to implement regulations and best practices in construction environments.
- Skilled in Accident Investigation including documenting incidents, analyzing root causes, and applying corrective measures effectively.
- Experienced in managing site security and safety of personnel, equipment, and assets.
- Proficient in designing and conducting impactful safety training, briefings, and awareness initiatives.
- Possesses a relevant diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related disciplines; certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are beneficial.
- Knowledgeable about local and international regulations and standards applicable to construction safety.
- Excellent communication, observation, and recordkeeping capabilities with a collaborative approach towards diverse teams.
- Previous experience as a Safety Officer or similar position within construction or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
