Position Overview

The Room Attendant and Server position combines responsibilities in housekeeping and dining service to ensure guest rooms and common areas are immaculate and that dining experiences exceed expectations. This role supports resort operations by maintaining high standards for cleanliness, comfort, and food service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, washrooms, laundry rooms, and shared spaces following strict sanitation protocols.
• Change linens, restock amenities, complete laundry duties, and keep housekeeping supplies organized.
• Identify and report any maintenance concerns and prepare rooms for guest arrivals, including labeling personal belongings.
• Welcome guests, assist with luggage during arrivals and departures, ensuring a hospitable experience.
• Serve meals by describing dishes, managing sales, and accommodating dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Prepare dining spaces by setting, resetting, polishing glassware, and replenishing service stations.
• Make beverages and cocktails and maintain service of wine, coffee, and water.
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards and maintain cleanliness of dining areas.
• Coordinate with the Chef and Front of House Lead regarding guest preferences, seating, and timing.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, promptly address requests, and uphold presentation excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
• Serving It Right certification required.
• Previous experience in serving and/or housekeeping roles.
• Keen attention to detail and a strong dedication to work ethics.
• WHMIS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA1).
• Experience in resort, fine dining, or hospitality environments.
• Ability to work autonomously with high efficiency.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with effective time management.
• Ability to maintain quality and cleanliness standards while working promptly and safely.
