About the Role
Join the RAC team as a Roadside Technician and play a crucial role in keeping vehicles running smoothly across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas such as Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Olney, Bedford, Ampthill, and Sandy. This role offers a great balance by allowing you to start and finish your working day at home with demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours weekly and additional overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and roadside assistance to drivers experiencing vehicle breakdowns.
- Execute tasks ranging from resolving flat batteries and changing tyres to complex fault diagnosis efficiently and confidently.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and reassurance to members during vehicle emergencies.
- Manage your daily work within a local cluster, focusing on timely and effective solutions for breakdowns in your area.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent certification, along with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience; or
- Possess at least five years of experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
- Have a valid UK driving license with fewer than six penalty points.
