The successful candidates will join a regional team supporting broader EMEA news operations. Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver exclusive breaking news that attracts and engages a professional readership by sourcing new and existing market information.
- Provide rapid market analysis through concise headlines and comprehensive thematic articles.
- Contribute globally by extracting insightful details from regional events to produce impactful English content for daily reports.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across Newswires and The Wall Street Journal to maintain the highest journalistic standards and ethics.
Key Duties
- Identify and report news that is critical to financial professionals, prioritizing disclosed information.
- Summarize complex subjects into clear, intelligent briefs accompanied by analysis relevant to investors.
- Address the specific informational needs of Newswires’ main audiences effectively.
- Communicate accurately and professionally within a high-demand, fast-paced environment.
Candidate Profile
- Possess at least two to three years of pertinent reporting experience.
- Demonstrate a well-developed sense of urgency and composure under pressure.
- Show intellectual curiosity about Middle Eastern markets and a strong drive to learn.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while fostering teamwork.
- Exhibit excellent written English skills; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
