Position Overview
This full-time, onsite position is based at the Riyadh branch of MyPet Clinic. The Reception & Sales Representative serves as the initial point of contact for clients, responsible for welcoming visitors, managing telephone communications, responding to client inquiries, and scheduling appointments. They also oversee client check-in and check-out processes, handle payments, maintain precise records, and collaborate closely with the veterinary and nursing teams to ensure efficient patient flow.
In addition, the role involves promoting clinic services and products, explaining treatment plans and preventive care options to clients, and assisting with sales of medications, pet care items, and service packages available in the clinic. Daily tasks include general reception and administrative duties, keeping the reception area tidy and inviting, and providing compassionate, professional support to both clients and their pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and manage incoming phone calls
- Respond to client inquiries and organize appointment bookings
- Perform client check-in and check-out duties
- Process payments and maintain accurate client and transaction records
- Coordinate with veterinary and nursing staff to facilitate smooth patient operations
- Promote services and products offered by the clinic
- Provide clear explanations of treatment plans and preventive care options
- Assist with in-clinic sales of medications, pet care products, and service packages
- Conduct general reception and clerical responsibilities
- Ensure the reception area is orderly and welcoming
- Offer empathetic and professional client and pet support
Qualifications and Skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, including professional and empathetic client interactions in person and by phone
- Competency in performing receptionist duties and proper phone etiquette
- Strong clerical abilities such as data entry, scheduling, record keeping, and basic administrative tasks
- Sales skills to clearly and ethically explain and promote clinic services, products, and preventive care programs
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Comfort working around animals and owners, with calm and reassuring communication even in stressful situations
- Basic proficiency with computers and office software
- Experience with clinic or practice management systems is advantageous
- Previous work experience in reception, customer service, healthcare, veterinary, or medical settings is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; additional training in customer service, administration, or veterinary assistance is beneficial
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
