Job description
Job Overview
As a Radiology Technique Specialist based in Riyadh, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic x-rays, maintaining radiology equipment, and managing related documentation. Your role ensures adherence to clinic protocols, promotes patient safety, and maintains high-quality radiographic outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiological examinations by positioning them correctly and adjusting immobilization devices.
- Operate and adjust x-ray equipment controls to set proper exposure based on procedure needs.
- Provide patient support by alleviating anxiety, clearly explaining treatments and addressing inquiries.
- Implement radiation safety measures to minimize exposure to patients and staff, utilizing protective devices and careful control of exposure factors.
- Ensure quality and consistency of radiographs by following standardized procedures including film development and result evaluation, making adjustments as required.
- Abide by infection control guidelines to safeguard the health of patients and coworkers.
- Maintain a safe, clean workplace by adhering to established protocols and regulations.
- Enhance professional and technical expertise through participation in educational workshops and review of industry literature.
Work Environment
- Work is indoors exclusively.
- Schedule consists of 6 working days and 1 day off weekly.
- Shift hours total 8 net hours daily as arranged by department supervisor.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Applied Medical Science specializing in Radiology.
- Minimum of two years practical experience post-graduation.
- Proficiency in Office software and Health Information Systems.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic, with strong spoken and written communication skills.
