Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a prominent international engineering main contractor. This employer manages a variety of projects across Ireland, including pharmaceuticals, commercial, residential, data centres, and industrial developments.

The position is based in Galway, with significant opportunities for remote work. Projects will encompass pharma facilities, electrical substations, power generation, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying and pricing all project variations as they arise
• Managing and forecasting project cash flows accurately
• Enhancing and applying best practices for commercial processes and precise budgeting
• Maintaining thorough records of all correspondence for easy retrieval
• Overseeing procurement activities
• Ensuring the construction team complies with contractual terms, providing guidance and oversight
• Preparing and agreeing on interim valuations at scheduled dates to optimize commercial benefits
• Collaborating with senior and commercial management to prepare final accounts with client representatives

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant third level qualification in a construction-related discipline
• More than 4 years of experience working with main contractors or subcontractors

Additional Information

This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary range of 5,000 to 80,000 per annum. The role is primarily onsite in Galway with flexibility for homeworking.
