Quality Engineer - Elevator Components Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Engineer to enhance quality assurance within our manufacturing and assembly units located in Jigani Industrial Area, Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of practical experience and hold a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering. This hands-on position focuses on inspecting products and kits at various production stages to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality benchmarks, thereby preventing defective materials from progressing or being delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections during assembly, kitting, and final packing stages.
• Perform inspections on New Product Development (NPD) parts.
• Assist with ISO documentation upkeep and support customer audit preparations.
• Update and maintain engineering drawings following the latest Change Notes (CN).
• Implement and sustain the 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) on the shop floor.
• Provide on-the-job training to shop floor workers to ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet quality objectives.
• Ensure accurate identification of all parts throughout the process.
• Manage non-conformities strictly according to established procedures.
• Approve first pieces in hardware bags and child kitting processes.
• Enforce safety measures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage across the production area.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering role within manufacturing or assembly environments.

Additional Information

The role is based on-site at the Jigani Industrial Area in Bangalore. The position offers a salary range between 300000 and 500000 INR per year.
