QA/QC Civil Inspector

About the Role

BEC Arabia is actively recruiting a qualified QA/QC Civil Inspector to contribute to a prominent construction initiative in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. The chosen individual will oversee and guarantee adherence to project specifications, contractual obligations, approved drawings, and recognized quality and safety standards related to civil engineering work.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect all civil construction processes and activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Confirm adherence to approved method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and project specifications at all stages of work.
• Conduct inspections upon receipt of materials, verifying conformance with sanctioned submittals.
• Generate and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and subsequent corrective measures.
• Observe testing procedures and liaise effectively with external testing laboratories.
• Review inspection requests thoroughly and maintain comprehensive records of inspections conducted.
• Maintain coordination and communication with consultants, subcontractors, and construction personnel to align quality objectives.
• Conduct verification of completed works prior to consultant-led inspections to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Ensure all activities meet the standards specified in the Saudi Building Code, ASTM, ACI, BS standards, alongside other quality requirements.
• Participate in internal audits related to quality management and actively engage in site quality meetings.
• Maintain meticulous quality documentation, including daily inspection reports and other relevant records.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience as a QA/QC Civil Inspector.
• Preferably hold experience working within GCC countries.
• Experience in large scale building construction projects is essential.
• Thorough knowledge of QA/QC processes and effective inspection methodologies.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and project specifications with accuracy.
• Strong capabilities in communication, reporting, and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience related to high-rise buildings and mixed-use developments.
• Prior involvement in hospitality and commercial developments.
• Familiarity with mega construction projects.
• History of working alongside Tier-1 contractors.
• Experience managing consultant approval processes and client inspections effectively.

Required Certifications

• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Awareness or formal training in ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards.
• Preferably hold CSWIP 3.1 certification.
• Preferably hold ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification.
