About the Role

We are expanding our team and inviting applications for a Property Desk Adjuster based in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. This role primarily involves supporting our Property Desk team, with occasional opportunities to assist in handling field claims in remote areas, providing a well-rounded and enriching claims management experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations, collect, and analyze information for property claims.
  • Assess coverage, liability, and claim value effectively.
  • Negotiate settlements and finalize property claims.
  • Maintain precise records including file documentation, billing, time, and expense tracking.
  • Collaborate with management to uphold strong client relationships.

Candidate Qualifications

  • At least two years of relevant experience in insurance or risk management, ideally within property claims.
  • Capability to obtain an Independent Adjuster license in your province; licenses in multiple provinces are advantageous.
  • Post-secondary education in insurance or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent skills in verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical thinking and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple priorities concurrently.

Compensation and Culture

This position offers a salary range between $50,000 and $75,000 per year, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
