Role Overview

We are seeking a Scheduler to join the UK Defence & Security Sector within our team. This role involves supporting crucial projects that significantly enhance the UK’s defence capabilities, contributing to long-term and impactful engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and review intricate construction schedules, providing expert advice, progress reports, and forecasts using scheduling software.
  • Manage the Integrated Master Schedule to ensure synchronized project timelines.
  • Conduct site visits to active construction projects to verify progress alignment with the schedule and project documentation.
  • Advise clients on actual progress alongside associated cost implications.
  • Create and propose recovery plans addressing timeline and cost challenges.
  • Assess and review construction claims, delivering opinions and reports regarding contractual rights and damage quantifications suitable for various dispute resolution methods including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Asta Powerproject, employing Critical Path Method for effective project oversight, progress monitoring, and delay assessments.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, charts, and graphical presentations supporting schedule analysis and updates.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven scheduling experience within construction or related projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with good organizational abilities.
  • Capability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines consistently.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Asta Powerproject software.
  • Familiarity with NEC contract frameworks.
  • Prior involvement in the Defence and Security sector or government and major projects considered advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of built assets and infrastructure.
  • Eligibility to obtain BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance.
  • Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC).

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Leeds, England. Candidates must be prepared for site visits and be able to work within government security standards.
