About the Role
Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated seeks a Project Manager for the Inuit Post-Secondary Education (IPSE) program, located in either Iqaluit or Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. Reporting to the Assistant Director – Social, this role involves collaboration with Regional Delivery Organizations (RDOs) to promote and support student enrollment in Post Secondary Education (PSE) programs and ensure the success of the IPSE initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with RDOs to implement activities that enhance student participation and achievement in PSE programs.
- Chair the Nunavut IPSE Steering Committee to guide program development and implementation.
- Engage with potential students and communities to promote PSE opportunities and the IPSE program.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and progress of the IPSE program alongside RDOs.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess either a post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma coupled with at least five years of related work experience.
- Demonstrate strong skills in policy implementation, research, analysis, planning, and prioritization.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, showing self-motivation and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation capabilities.
- Experience in budget development and management is considered an asset.
- Proficient in navigating multicultural settings, with familiarity in government procedures and experience working with northern governments.
- Knowledge of spoken and written Inuktitut/Inuinnaqtun languages is preferred; willingness to learn is essential.
Additional Information
- Preference is given to Inuit persons enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.
- Location options are Iqaluit or Rankin Inlet, Nunavut.
- Starting annual salary is $115,000, adjusted based on experience.
- Comprehensive benefits include an employee pension plan, group insurance, and vacation travel assistance.
- Housing allowance of $35,865 is provided.
