As a multinational enterprise operating across three continents including the U.S. and Middle East, NCCC focuses on delivering high-standard projects compliant with regional safety codes.
Role Summary
This full-time position based in India centers on preparing precise cost estimations for projects predominantly in the United States and UAE markets. The role significantly influences successful bids and project budgets for commercial and industrial assignments like high-rise buildings, refineries, data centers, and industrial facilities. Close collaboration with leadership offers a path for advancement into senior estimation and project management roles.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost analyses for U.S. Division 7 scopes encompassing spray-applied fireproofing, intumescent coatings, insulation, firestopping, air barriers, as well as industrial blasting and coatings.
- Examine bid documentation such as drawings, specifications, and addenda from general contractors to identify scope clarifications, risks, and necessary qualifications.
- Execute quantity takeoffs and price labor, materials, equipment, and access utilizing digital estimation tools.
- Compile comprehensive U.S. bid submissions including scope letters, assumptions, exclusions, alternates, and pricing schedules.
- Assess and price change orders, supporting cost controls on active projects within the U.S.
- Communicate daily with U.S.-based operations during overlapping working hours to ensure smooth coordination.
- Develop cost estimates for the UAE with focus on refractory, fireproofing, insulation, acid-resistant linings, and coating works for industrial and energy sectors.
- Analyze UAE BOQs, IFC drawings, ITTs, and technical specifications from EPC contractors and clients.
- Participate in tender clarifications, site visits, and pre-bid walkdowns in the UAE.
- Evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors across markets.
- Maintain and update estimating databases including historical costs, productivity data, and market pricing.
- Ensure all estimates comply with U.S. standards such as ASTM, UL, IBC, and UAE/GCC regulations, including ADNOC standards when relevant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related disciplines preferred.
- 7 to 10+ years’ experience in estimation specifically for industrial or heavy construction projects; exceptional candidates with fewer years considered.
- Proven expertise in fireproofing, coatings, insulation, refractories, and acid-resistant linings.
- Familiarity with U.S. CSI MasterFormat and American-style bid documents or capacity to quickly acquire such knowledge.
- Background in oil & gas, power, petrochemical, or industrial plant estimation; UAE/GCC and ADNOC tender experience is advantageous.
- Strong skills in interpreting technical drawings and detailed specifications.
- Proficient with MS Excel and digital estimating/takeoff software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, Candy, or Primavera.
- Fluent in written and spoken English for daily communication with U.S. stakeholders and contractors.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours to align with U.S. Eastern Time for effective coordination.
- Currently residing in the UAE with transferable visa or own sponsorship; possession of a UAE driving license is beneficial.
- Ability to efficiently handle multiple tender submissions under tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, precision, and a strong sense of ownership in work.
