About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Program Officer specializing as a Life Skills Trainer for a non-profit foundation based in Abu Dhabi. This full-time, on-site role involves leading the development and execution of comprehensive life skills programs. The main focus is on lifelong learning opportunities and enhancing the capabilities of Youth of Determination through Social Emotional Learning, preparing them effectively for vocational integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of planning, designing, and executing inclusive skill development initiatives that emphasize accessibility, holistic skill enhancement, and social-emotional learning specifically for People of Determination.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including internal personnel, volunteers, and external partners such as corporate bodies, cultural institutions, and healthcare providers to ensure delivery of impactful community-based programs.
- Conduct research and benchmarking studies to incorporate global best practices in inclusion, sustainability, and innovative education into the program strategies.
- Lead program monitoring and evaluation efforts by creating KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools; utilize data insights to guide decisions and promote continuous enhancements.
- Develop and standardize frameworks, toolkits, and standard operating procedures to maintain consistent program delivery across different teams and environments.
- Design and implement strategies for program scalability to support sustainable growth and maintain quality standards.
- Foster and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with parents and guardians, ensuring their active communication, engagement, and participation throughout the program experience.
- Prepare and facilitate custom training sessions, awareness programs, capacity-building workshops, and consultations for public and private sector stakeholders, educators, and facilitators focusing on inclusion, accessibility, and best practices.
- Represent the foundation at various conferences, forums, and community outreach events.
- Contribute to cross-departmental collaboration during all programs and events to maximize overall impact.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Between three to five years of progressively responsible experience as a Life Skills Teacher, Instructor, or Trainer, preferably within NGOs or organizations focused on social impact.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
