Program Manager - Edtech

Role overview

Academian Inc is hiring a seasoned Content Program Manager to oversee the strategy, creation, and release of educational content products. This position is suited for someone with a strong background in education publishing, curriculum design, instructional design, or EdTech content operations. The role requires coordination across multiple teams to deliver high-quality learning content on schedule, within scope, and within budget.

What you will do

• Own content initiatives from initial planning through publication and launch.
• Guide the full course and content development process, including manuscript building and production supervision.
• Work closely with editors, instructional designers, curriculum specialists, subject matter experts, and production staff.
• Create project plans, timelines, staffing plans, and risk-control approaches.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and deliverables to keep work on track.
• Coordinate review cycles, quality checks, editing, and publishing steps.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, Program Increment planning, stakeholder reviews, and progress meetings.
• Make sure content aligns with curriculum standards, learning goals, and education frameworks.
• Handle communication with internal stakeholders and outside vendors.
• Improve processes to make content production more scalable and efficient.
• Manage several content programs at once while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Oversee integration of digital assets and recurring content updates.

Course development and production scope

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end course development lifecycle.
• Partner with instructional design teams and coordinate with subject matter experts.
• Manage content workflows, quality assurance, and production standards.
• Build repeatable enterprise-level processes for content development.
• Handle checkpoints, approvals, and publishing cycles.
• Support both print and digital publishing workflows.

Required background

You should hold a bachelor’s degree in Education, Publishing, Communications, English, Instructional Design, or a closely related field. The role expects 10+ years of experience in educational publishing, curriculum development, EdTech, or content program management. Candidates should have deep exposure to digital learning environments and end-to-end content lifecycle management, along with a history of managing complex content programs.

Experience working with editorial teams, curriculum developers, and content creators is important, as is strong capability in project planning, stakeholder management, and communication. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, or Azure DevOps is required. Background in publishing, digital publishing, eLearning, EdTech, or content technology environments is preferred. A solid understanding of Agile methods, including SAFe, and hands-on experience with Program Increment planning and execution are also expected.

Knowledge of CMS/LMS platforms such as SuccessFactors, SumTotal, Moodle, SharePoint, Articulate, or InDesign will be useful. Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall setups for content production and publishing is part of the ideal profile.

• Exposure to K-12, higher education, assessment, or learning product environments.
• PMP, CAPM, Agile, or SAFe certifications.
